Women in Wholesale launches diversity and inclusion survey

Women in Wholesale (WiW) has launched a diversity and inclusion survey in partnership with TWC to understand how the sector is performing against a range of measures.

The findings will be shared at the industry educational networking programme’s forthcoming conference on 22 September.

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting total diversity and inclusion in wholesale, it is conducting the survey to provide a benchmark for future measurement as well as identify where the sector can do better.

Anyone working in the wholesale sector is encouraged to take the survey which takes just 5 minutes to complete. The survey is totally anonymous and individual responses will not be reviewed.

In addition to the survey, TWC will be analysing the percentage of women in C-Suite roles in wholesale operators so that female representation on wholesale boards can be measured and compared to previous studies conducted in 2016 and 2019 and against other industries.

Elit Rowland, Founder of Women in Wholesale said: “We want to understand how wholesale is performing in terms of diversity and inclusion and share those findings back to our audience. Studies prove that diverse businesses are more profitable and grow faster and the modern workforce is actively seeking employers who foster fully inclusive cultures and truly diverse teams.”

“Furthermore, the findings will inform Women in Wholesale as to where we should focus our resources in order to create programmes that best support everybody in our industry to thrive.”

“This study will have real impact if a large proportion of the industry completes it because it is then truly reflective of everyone’s views – so I would urge everyone to take the five minutes to fill it in.”
