WiW offering mental health training assistance

Women in Wholesale (WiW) is offering help with mental health training by working together with organisation, Aiding Mental Health, to offer a third off the cost of online training.

Mental Health First Aid is the mental health equivalent of a physical first aid qualification and the two-day online course run by Aiding Mental Health usually costs £300 + VAT per person.

However, WiW will be hosting a ‘Closed Group’ training session with the organisation at a discounted rate of just £200 + VAT per person. Members can register interest here.

It leads to a certification that’s accredited by The Royal Society for Public Health and the Department of Health.

“One in four people are affected by mental health issues in the UK – and it’s a problem that’s only been exacerbated by the pandemic,” said WiW founder, Elit Rowland.

Research shows that workplaces that promote mental health awareness are more likely to increase productivity, reduce absenteeism, and benefit from the associated financial gains.
