Scotland Food & Drink looks towards ‘£4bn UK growth opportunity’ with appointment

Scotland Food & Drink has appointed Jamie Durkin to the role of UK strategic marketing manager as the industry leadership body looks to champion Scottish producers south of the border.

The company has identified a £4bn market opportunity for the Scottish food and drink sector to capture key markets within the next five years, including a £1bn market opportunity in the rest of the UK.

Analysis published in the recently launched industry strategy ‘Sustaining Scotland. Supplying the World’ reveals this, with the role created to enable this. He will be responsible for extending Scotland Food & Drink’s reach with customers in London and the wider UK market.
