Confex has welcomed Channel Islands-based Alliance into its membership, with the wholesaler’s £37m annual turnover adding to the group’s £3.7bn buying power.
Alliance is a multichannel wholesaler and retailer, with stores in both Jersey and Guernsey as well as having a home delivery partnership called Orderit.je . The stores stock a wide selection of local and international products, including fresh produce, meat, chilled and frozen items to beers, wines and spirits and household products.

Alliance’s Andrew Bagot said: ‘We are delighted to be joining Confex at such an important time in our Channel Island Wholesale and Retail businesses. Confex revealed at its annual conference last year that group turnover has surpassed £3bn and membership has increased to over 234 members.
