Britvic has launched J2O Spritz, a range of sparkling soft drinks, which is available to wholesalers this month.
J2O Spritz comes in Pear & Raspberry, Apple & Watermelon and Peach & Apricot flavours. A 275ml format is exclusive to the on-trade, while a sharing 750ml format is available to the off-trade.
The launch is supported by a £1.5m marketing campaign that includes social media and digital advertising and celebrity partnerships.
Socialising accounts for nearly half of total beverage spend in the UK, with £27.5bn spent on drinks when socialising in-outlet. Soft drinks make up only 15% of this, which is why Britvic sees this area as an opportunity for growth.
We caught up with Russell Kirkham, senior shopper marketing manager for Britvic Soft Drinks, to talk about the opportunities that J2O Spritz gives wholesalers and foodservice operators.
