Belgium subsidiary helps Pricecheck achieve 44% export growth

Pricecheck’s export sales have exceeded pre-Brexit levels, with the Sheffield-based distributor achieving 44% growth in the last financial year.

The wholesaler has put the growth down to its Belgian subsidiary, which routed 90% of EU orders for Pricecheck throughout 2022/23.

Joint managing director Debbie Harrison, who was appointed Export Champion by the Department for International Trade for a fourth consecutive year, said: “Pricecheck’s exporting success comes down to the hard work of our specialist team. By sourcing new opportunities across the globe, we have increased export turnover – and now we’re in a stronger trading position than ever before.”

She adds, “It’s refreshing and exciting that, after a few years of constant challenges, it feels as though there is light at the end of the tunnel, and Pricecheck is not only surviving but thriving in a post-Brexit world.”

Pricecheck recently achieved double digit growth for the second successive year ending 30th April 2023, with the accounts set to show a rise of around 14-15% and turnover around the £129m mark when they are published later this year.
