NYC-inspired buns launched into foodservice market

New York Bakery Co has launched a range of buns into the foodservice market to target coffee shops, pubs, universities, casual dining and food-to-go outlets.

Inspired by the city of New York, a cheese-topped bun, star-shaped bun and cheese and bacon topped bun are already available from Bidood, and follow consumer research that highlights the importance of visuals in the sandwich carrier category.

The findings show that three in five customers would choose a cheese-topped burger bun out of home, while 50% of the consumers asked “liked or extremely liked the topped buns”.
