Today’s Group has launched Checkout Mania, the theme of its latest promotional programme, which will offer retailers more than £50K worth of prizes in members’ depots starting in March 2015.
Managing director of Today’s Group Bill Laird said: “Our trade days offer retailers fantastic deals while driving sales for wholesale members. Some members have enjoyed a sales boost of up to a million pounds in just one day at previous trade day events. We expect Checkout Mania do match this success and we are offering new initiatives including instant cash prizes for the first time.”
The promotional programme has been strategically timed to fall during the post-Christmas financial slump. Mr Laird said: “The start of the year can be difficult trading periods for our members and their customers, so we are giving them the deals they need to drive traffic and footfall.”
Checkout Mania will include a number of new initiatives based on feedback from suppliers, members and retailers. “In total we’ve invested £50K into prizes – both products and cash – as well as offering independent retailers some competitive deals,” said Laird.
