Strong catering performance leads to Booker 12% sales growth

Booker achieved 12% sales growth in the 12 months up to 25 February, with catering sales increasing by 35.5%.

When announcing its preliminary results, Ken Murphy, chief executive of Booker owner Tesco said that Booker delivered its strongest year ever, and put this down to the outstanding catering performance.

The wholesaler’s retail sales also went up  by 9.9% despite tobacco sales falling by 5.6%.
