15 minutes with… Ryan Torrible of North West Teas

15 minutes with Ryan Torrible, business development manager, North West Teas who would love to devote more time to the golf course

What was your first-ever job?Ryan Torrible

Funnily enough, I worked brushing the floors at North West Teas when I was just 16 years old.

How would your colleagues at North West Teas describe you?

I would like to hope that they’d say helpful or knowledgeable, but who knows?

What everyday activity would you have a chance of winning a medal for, if it were turned into an Olympic sport?

I think my friends and family would agree that I’d have a chance at winning at least a bronze if eating was an Olympic sport.

What would your perfect day involve?

With the Premier League now thankfully back up and running, watching Liverpool lift the trophy would be a perfect day and the first time it would happen in my life.

If time and money were not an issue, what hobby would you most like to get into?

I think that would have to be golf. It’s a sport I love and try to play as much as possible. However, it’s hard to improve unless you have a lot of time on your hands with rounds taking a few hours.

What is your song of choice at karaoke?

I wouldn’t want to damage anyone’s ears, so you don’t want me near a microphone. But if I had to pick something, then it would have to be any of the classic Oasis songs.

Who would be your four ideal dinner party guests?

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler, Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, the actor Ryan Reynolds and former basketball star Michael Jordan.

What would you cook them?

I’m not bad at cooking fajitas, to be fair, so it would have to be that.

What do you wish you knew more about?

With the world and wholesale industry moving more towards digital, it’d be great to know more about IT programming and coding. That’s something I’d like to learn more about.

If you were a superhero, what would you choose as your superpower?

I’d love to have the ability to be really fast and speedy.
