JJ Foodservice achieves yearly sales record of £270m

JJ Foodservice has broken it yearly sales record, with the wholesaler achieving £270m for the year ending March 31st, up 22.5% on the previous year.

As well as the reopening of the foodservice market, JJ has put the results down to the retention of new consumers gained during the pandemic and a growth.

Its own brand sales were also cited as a reason for the growth, with contributing 36% of total sales in this period, a 20% increase on previous 12 months.

Chief finance officer Edward Lanham said, “Our customers have recognised the savings they can make by shopping own brand. We have more than 600 private label products, which offer high quality, great value alternatives to many leading brands.”

The wholesaler recently launched a new own brand page on its website to make it easier for customers to find quality, affordable options during the cost-of-living crisis.
