JJ evolves business strategy to cater for additional sectors

JJ Foodservice has made a change to its business strategy to work within a broader spectrum of sectors, with the wholesaler revealing plans to expand its product range ‘significantly’ over the next two years in order to service this wider range of segments.

Its new mission statement states it will ‘make it easy for everyone to enjoy chef-quality ingredients, to become a leading sustainable foodservice supplier, while making a positive impact on people, communities, and the environment.’

Managing director Mushtaque Ahmed said: “From catering mainly to fast-food outlets 35 years ago, today we serve every type of food sector, from restaurants and pubs to hotels and schools. Our Advance Order platform has been instrumental in enabling every branch to expand its range of quality products.”

JJ has also announced new company ‘values’, which reflect the guiding principles of its culture and decision-making. “Our new JJ Family values serve as the cornerstone for how we communicate and interact with customers, suppliers and each other,’ said Ahmed.

The wholesaler recently opened its 12th branch in Wimbledon, with the 33,965 sq ft warehouse open to the public and featuring solar panels, electric warehouse vehicles as well as 3,950sq ft of office space.
