Landmark Wholesale has appointed Sharmmila Jeganmogan – managing director at Croydon-based wholesaler Hi-Line Cash & Carry – to its board of directors.

Being the buying group’s first non-white, female director in its 45-year history, Jeganmogan said that she is proud to have taken the position, having been managing director at Landmark member Hi-Line since September 2009.

Jeganmogan said she hopes to bring about positive changes to wholesale. “I also hope that I can inspire a whole generation of women to follow their dreams and reach the boardroom in their own workplaces,” she added.
