Bobby’s Foods opens Belfast depot

The opening of the Northern Ireland depot

Bobby’s Foods has opened its first depot in Northern Ireland, with the location in Belfast set to help serve the company’s 500 retailers in that section of the country.

The depot will be the company’s 12th in the UK (see image below) and Bobby’s claims this move will offer Northern Irish retailers the same benefits that its customers nationwide have come to appreciate.

John Lucas, national sales manager said: “Over the past four years, our teams have made remarkable progress in supplying retailers across Northern Ireland. This success would not have been possible without the invaluable support and guidance from The Tommy, Terry Maxwell and family in Crumlin. Starting in 2019 with a small corner in their warehouse, we then expanded to a larger building across the courtyard 18 months later.

“Today, we celebrate the realisation of our dream as we cut the ribbon for our new warehouse and offices in Crumlin. We extend our sincere gratitude to Maxwells for their collaboration in making this achievement possible. Thanks to the unwavering commitment and hard work of Bobby’s Sales Team in Northern Ireland, we now provide our exclusive products to 500 retailers in the convenience trade. Our ambition for 2023 is to further increase this number and continue serving our valued retailers with excellence.”
