Blakemore Wholesale, the UK’s third largest wholesaler has signed up to Alchemy.
Blakemore wholesale group is the first wholesaler to sign up to Alchemy, which monitors sales through Blakemore’s 14 depots. In addition to being a sales reporting tool, Alchemy identifies development opportunities by reviewing average selling price, highlighting under-performing depots, as well as reporting product sales by business type and customer count.
Managing director of Alchemy’s parent company, Mike McGee, said, “Alchemy is simple to view and works on mobile platforms, which is essential for a modern reporting solution in today’s busy world. As a cloud-based solution, customers also save on costs by not having to invest in IT infrastructure.”
Blakemore Wholesale’s Managing Director, Russell Grant said of the decision to sign up to Alchemy, “Introducing this level of transparency means that we can develop plans with our suppliers based on meaningful insight. As a result, we can agree and implement joint strategies that will grow our business in a sustainable way.”
Over 100 of Blakemore’s top suppliers have already signed up for the new service. “We are delighted at the positive feedback we are getting for the new system both from the buying team and our suppliers,” said Grant.
