Bidcorp acquires Nicol Hughes Foodservice

Bidcorp has acquired Nicol Hughes Foodservice as part of a strategy to grow the Caterfood Buying Group’s network of independent foodservice businesses.

The Northwest-based wholesaler will move away from Sterling Buying Group at the end of July and will keep its name, branding and independence. It will now be trading alongside the likes of Elite Fine Foods, Caterfood, South Lincs Foodservice and Cimandis, wth Bidcorp claiming it will retain each businesses’ independent ethos, character and approach.

Andrew Selley, chief executive of Bidcorp UK commented: “We’re thrilled to welcome the team and customers from Nicol Hughes Foodservice into our Bidcorp family. Since being transformed to its current format in the 1960’s, the company has developed an excellent reputation within foodservice and has a proud service record which fits with our own service excellence ambitions.
