Dhamecha has hinted at the launch of a new symbol group through the filings of a new ‘DMART’ trademark.
The trademark was filed in September 2024 under ‘Class 35’. Class 35 covers “business and sales promotion and marketing services for retail outlets.” The trademark classification has previously been used by other wholesalers for their own branded fascias.

A separate trademark under the ‘DMART’ brand was also filed in January 2025. It listed classes for the sale of non-medicated cosmetics and toiletries, household or kitchen utensils, meat, fish, poultry, coffee, tea, pasta and non-alcoholic beverages, among many other core convenience goods.
The launch of DMART would not be the first time Dhamecha has operated its own fascia. In 2006, the firm launched its own Day 1 symbol group, which is still being managed by a number of retailers.
