Pendlebury set to become Country Range buying director

Country Range group current head of trading Dean Pendlebury will be promoted to the role of buying director at the start of next year.

Heading up a team of five, his responsibilities in the newly created role will include executing and implementing a buying plan in line with the updated 5-year strategy and increasing the sales value of the three-tiered own brand portfolio to £250m by 2030.

Pendlebury joined the team in 2013 and has helped build the group’s buying power up to £360m, as well as the buying group’s purchasing strategy in category buyer, senior Buyer and head of Trading roles.

Commenting on his appointment, CRG chief executive Martin Ward said: “Dean has been pivotal in our recent success and in helping us take our collective purchasing power past the £360 million mark so we’re delighted to announce him as our new Buying Director.
