The National Buying Consortium (NBC) recently announced 50% growth across the soft drinks, snacks and confectionery categories, with sales across its National Distribution Network (NDN) service growing by more than 46% at the buying group.
The figures were recently announced at the company’s first member and supplier networking event of 2022 at The Belfry, with managing director David Lunt explaining that this is encouraging as members have had significant challenges since 2020 and are now seeing a return to better trading.
He also confirmed that NBC plans to improve the resource at its head office in Chipping Norton to further develop the commercial relationships between the group, members, and supplier partners.
“We are also planning to introduce a further benefit of membership of NBC – a Web to Print Brochure service – that any member will be able to access free of charge. This compliments the wider marketing services support that is available through the group and our marketing partners, May Marketing,” he said.
