Country Range has announced sales of £360m, up 26% from the previous year, at the group’s annual conference held in Telford last week.
450 representatives from the group’s 16 independent wholesale members and 91 suppliers attended.
Coral Rose (pictured left), managing director of Country Range, also a Landmark member, said: “One of the highlights of the conference was a video montage, which showed group members continuing to invest in new vehicles, new premises and new people over the last 12 months, which is great.”
At the conference, Coral revealed that the group’s strategy going forward was championing the independent caterer. “We believe that the UK consumer should have a diversity of choice when eating out of home and that independent caterers are integral to this,” she said.
The 2014 Country Range Member Awards winners were also announced at the conference – the winners were: Best Brand Performance – Turner Price (pictured centre); Best Own Brand Performance – Creed Foodservice; Best Group Support – Caterfood; Annual Telesales Focus Team of the Year – Thomas Ridley.
