Blakemore promotes Deakin to supply chain and logistics director

Blakemore has promoted Marc Deakin to group supply chain and logistics director and he will now join the company’s executive leadership team having joined the business in 1995.

First joining part time as a chilled warehouse operative, Deakin recently headed up a major transformation of the group’s supply chain as well as playing a pivotal role in the design, build and operation of the Bedford depot.

Chief executive Carol Welch said: “I’m delighted by this appointment.
