B2b.store appoints head of communications

B2b.store has appointed former trade press editor Chris Evans as its head of communications, with the new role created in order to raise further awareness of the technology solutions and to champion best practice from within b2b.store’s customer base.

One of Evans’s first tasks will be to promote b2b.store’s array of subscription-based services – including B2B WhatsApp, open banking and digital advertising solutions – that have now been decoupled to allow customers to pick and choose what suits them best.
Previously, b2b.store offered a full-service solution, but by breaking that down into individual modules, it allows businesses to benefit from only what they need and integrate it seamlessly into their existing eCommerce platform with minimal fuss.

B2b.store chief executive Rob Mannion believes adding Evans to a team already brimming with digital and wholesale knowledge will add an extra dimension to the business’s offering. “I’m delighted to welcome Chris to the team, it’s a big step forward for b2b.store to have our own dedicated comms person to raise our profile.”

“Chris understands the sector and the role digital can play within it so he’s a great fit for what we were looking for and it’s a real coup for us that he agreed to come on board. As a result, you will be seeing and hearing a lot more about b2b.store in 2023 and beyond.”
Evans added: “The idea of getting my teeth into a new challenge really appealed and b2b.store’s new approach meant the opportunity this role provided was too good to turn down.”

“I’ve been familiar with Rob and b2b.store since starting at Wholesale News in 2018 and feel the range of services on offer can’t be matched elsewhere in the sector – and by switching to a modular offering, it feels as though they’re on the cusp of something big. I wanted to be part of that.”
