Russell Grant leaves Blakemore Wholesale

After 13 years with the Blakemore business, Russell Grant has left the company.

Spending the last year working in the role of managing director at the Blakemore Wholesale division, Grant was a familiar figure to most in the industry. Prior to joining Blakemore, Grant spent several years working at Nisa.

Blakemore group director, Geoff Hallam, has taken day-to-day responsibility for Blakemore Wholesale for the foreseeable future, working alongside the divisional leadership team.

Hallam will also maintain his AF Blakemore board-level responsibilities for the Blakemore Retail, Property and Design & Shopfitting divisions.

A spokesperson for the company, said: “Following an internal restructure of the AF Blakemore leadership team, which took place last September, Blakemore Wholesale managing director, Russell Grant, has stood down from his role and left the business in November.

“Russell joined the company in November 2003 and served as cash & carry trading director, then commercial director before being appointed managing director in December 2015.”
