RD Johns has secured a multi-million-pound funding package from HSBC UK as heads towards a growth strategy through capital investment and strategic acquisitions.
As part of the wider funding package, £4m of asset finance is available to support upgrades to the Devon-based wholesaler’s delivery fleet and equipment aimed at increasing distribution capacity, improving delivery efficiency and supporting rising customer demand.
As a result, the company is expecting 6% organic growth over the next 12 months, as well as growth across its procurement and sales teams and investment in its meat and fish division, which currently contributes £20m to its £90m turnover anticipated for 2026.
