LWC Drinks has strengthened its position as the UK’s largest independent drinks wholesaler and further increased its presence in the South East with the acquisition of Hills Prospect.

This move will bring LWC’s UK sites up to 18 and follows the recent openings of two new depots that will also serve the South East and London in Aylesbury and Andover, as well as a third in Doncaster.

Ebrahim Mukadam, managing director at LWC Drinks, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming the fantastic Hills Prospect to the LWC family. Having built up an incredible reputation for service and knowledge over the last forty years, Hills Prospect have garnered a real stronghold over the London market.

“We see this partnership as a superb opportunity for both businesses to combine skills, shared knowledge, network, and strength to offer customers in the region a service like no other, and we can’t wait to get started.  Hills Prospect has earned itself a very well-established and extremely loyal customer base, as such, it is also important to note that the company will continue to operate and trade under its own name and will see no interruption to the incredible service it offers its customers.

Trevor Bowers, sales director at Hills Prospect, added: “We at Hills Prospect are truly excited to join the LWC family of distributors. Currently the largest independent drinks distributor in London and the South East, we are proud to be joining the largest independent drinks wholesaler. Our service and reputation will strengthen and grow with the immense opportunity of being part of a progressive national company. We remain absolutely committed to offering our loyal customers the high levels of service they are accustomed to from all the departments at Hills Prospect”.

Nick Callaghan, commercial director at Hills Prospect, commented: “We are delighted to join the LWC Drinks family. We are eagerly looking forward to maximising our opportunities and remain absolutely committed to providing the first-class service that our loyal customers are accustomed to. We look forward to working closely with our LWC colleagues and truly believe that we will combine our strengths and emerge greater than the sum of our parts. As was proven back in 2009 when Hills Drinks Distributors and Prospect Distributors merged to form Hills Prospect.”
