Hanson swaps Bestway for Co-op Wholesale

Lisa-Jayne Hanson has been appointed head of trading operations at Co-Op Wholesale, who she has joined from Bestway.

Whilst in the role at Bestway, Hanson w0orked in the role of category controller of own-brand and crisps, snacks & nuts, and, prior to that, was a national account controller at PepsiCo. She’s also previously worked at Symington’s, Salesout and Britvic.

Co-op Wholesale appointed Bestway’s former director of trading – convenience Robbie Moore as its trading director in December, a move the wholesaler claimed would ‘shake up the wholesale sector’.

The company also recently expanded its own‑brand ‘Served’ range offer across certain categories in what it is claims offers retailers an advantage in the “dinner for tonight” mission. This expansion of the dine in own brand range follows demand for greater choice, and improved margins, with the “dinner for tonight” mission worth over £18bn in convenience.
