Emma Senior to become Sugro managing director

Sugro is to appoint senior Mondelez national account manager Emma Senior as its new managing director, starting the role in July.

Reported exclusively by Alex Yau in our sister website betterRetailing, Senior is currently the senior national account manager (high street discounters) and has also held various roles at Mondelez since 2014.

The appointment of Senior was announced through an internal message seen by betterRetailing. Sugro said: “The chairman and the board of directors would like to announce that they have now appointed a new MD for the company. Emma Senior will be joining Sugro in July 2022.”

Since his departure, Turton has taken on a role as non-executive director at Jersey-based independent retail chain Alliance Stores.

Alliance’s managing director Andrew Bagot said. “I am delighted to welcome Neil Turton as a non-executive director.  Neil is a highly talented strategic business leader whose broad experience in the food retail industry will bring fresh perspective to the company helping us to further develop and diversify our pan Island business.”

Turton added: “Being a Non-Executive Director can mean many things. In this case, it’s about working with Andrew and his executive team to make sure we have the right industry visibility, profile, networks, supplier relationships, external partnerships and innovation.
