Country Range suppliers and members unite for networking event

The Country Range Group’s latest Business Development Day (BDD) event took place last month in Crewe, with 32 suppliers able to showcase their products to more than 120 delegates.

The event allowed suppliers to have face-to-face meetings with delegates and discuss everything from supplier performance, NPD, market trends, future plans and additional support offered, whilst also performing live demonstrations and sampling activities.

Some of the brands involved in the event included Three Oceans, Nestlé Professional, Waldron’s Patisserie, Arla, Tideford Organics, Danora, as well as Delifrance who showcased innovative ‘Thaw and Serve’ products. Foodservice wholesalers are seeing an increase in demand for high quality ‘thaw and serve’ products as it allows them to keep the standard of their offering high with little input required from staff and whilst keeping energy costs low.

Dean Pendlebury, the Country Range Group’s head of trading, commented: “It’s been a difficult few years for the foodservice sector and with no respite in sight, it’s vital that events such as our BDD are still taking place so our members and suppliers can come together to discuss future plans and activities. The turnout for our latest event at Crewe Hall was fantastic with some exciting new products unveiled by visiting suppliers and lots of orders placed by delegates so it was once again another roaring success.”

The next Country Range Group BDD is scheduled to take place in February 2023. Suppliers looking to be involved in any of the upcoming events are asked to email crgmarketing@countryrange.co.uk or to contact their usual Country Range Group trading contact if they are already an existing supplier to the Group.
