Country Range celebrates 30th anniversary at annual awards

Turner Price picked up the Group Member of the Year award at the Country Range Group’s annual ‘An Evening With’ Event, as the buying group headed to St Paul’s Cathedral for its 30th anniversary.

Savona (Best Branded Performance), Henderson (Best Own Brand Performance) and Birchall (Best Digital Activation) also collected awards as well as seven different brands in the supplier categories (see below).

A special raffle on the night also saw the Country Range Group surpass its fundraising target of £100K, which will be split between Hospitality Action and local causes linked with the members.

New Country Range Group chief executive Martin Ward said: “Our annual awards are the perfect way for the Group’s members and suppliers to get together and celebrate their successes over the past year and I don’t think we could have picked a more special setting than St Paul’s to do it in. A huge congratulations to all those who picked up awards on the night and a massive thank you to everyone who attended and played a role in helping us smash our 30th anniversary fundraising target.”

“It’s been a challenging landscape for everyone involved in the industry but the Group continues to perform magnificently and we have ambitious plans to hit £1billion in sales turnover in the next few years. What’s been achieved by the Group in the last 30 years has been amazing, here’s to the next 30 and beyond!” he added.

The group also used the event to reveal its new corporate branding, logo website, Ward said: “As part of our strategic review undertaken earlier this year, we felt that the corporate branding for the Group was in need of an update and with it being our 30th anniversary year, it was the ideal time for a refresh. Alongside the new visually-appealing logo, the new Group website will also provide huge value to our members and suppliers so we’re thrilled to launch it in time for the start of what will be a busy and challenging 2023.”
