Fine foods wholesaler Cotswold Fayre has announced a long-term partnership with Ramsden International that will aid its expansion into new markets.

From April next month, the wholesaler will be supplying speciality food from its range of 4,000 products to Ramsden, who will then export to retailers in 133 different countries.

Paul Hargreaves, chief executive of Cotswold Fayre, said: “This partnership is great news for us, and you could say, a marriage made in heaven! While we have done a small amount of export business over the years, it makes complete business sense to partner up with an industry-leading exporter like Ramsden International – and we’re excited to get started.

“As a fine food distributor, we have more than 22 years knowledge of the speciality food market and Ramsden International has been a leading exporter for decades.  Particularly with the complexities of exporting products, brought about by Brexit, the timing of this partnership with an expert exporter could not be better.  We look forward to making the incredible, quality food from these islands more widely available to the rest of the world.”

Sean Ramsden, MBE, chief executive of  Ramsden International added: “We are delighted to be forming this partnership with Cotswold Fayre who offer an excellent strategic fit with Ramsden International. The fine food range that Cotswold Fayre supply is in high demand throughout our customer base and presents a clear opportunity for us to add value to our range proposition and drive incremental sales. We are very excited about announcing this partnership to our global customer base and working closely with Cotswold Fayre to deliver our ambitious growth plans.”
