Channel Islands wholesaler Cimandis is to now fully exit the Channel Islands after it announced it will shut down its Guernsey operations at the end of August with the loss of 39 jobs.
The Bidcorp-owned company had recently made the decision to cease trading in Jersey from the end of July following what the wholesaler calls a ‘period of increasingly challenging trading conditions, including significant increases in rent and shipping costs.’

This Guernsey exit therefore also means it will end Cimandis’s services in Alderney, Herm and Sark.
“Our priority is to work closely with recruitment agencies and other local employers to help affected team members in finding new roles and support them through this very difficult period,” said a Cimandis spokesperson to the BBC.
