Burnley-based Birchall Foodservice has purchased seven HGVs and five new box vans in order to help facilitate recent sales growth.

The HGVs will allow the foodservice wholesaler to offer great delivery flexibility to both new and existing customers, while the box vans, which can be driven by any employee with a driving licence, mean Birchalls can quickly make emergency deliveries to customers that need them, as well as deliver along routes unsuitable for larger vehicles.

They are also fitted with the Euro 6 engines, helping the company to significantly reduce its carbon footprint. Alongside this investment in its vehicles, the fifth-generation wholesaler has also recruited seven new drivers to maintain its impressive customer service levels.
