Birchall Foodservice formed part of the launch of the new EVC CitySprint electric van, which was recently unveiled at London’s Guildhall.

The event marked the arrival of a new generation of compact electric commercial vehicles, which have been developed to support businesses, such as wholesalers, transitioning to electric.

For Birchall Foodservice, the collaboration reflects a focus on building a more sustainable supply chain, and the vehicle was showcased in the wholesaler’s full livery.

Gill Smith, managing director at Birchall Foodservice, said, “We were absolutely delighted to support the launch of the CitySprint. It’s a brilliant example of innovation happening right here in East Lancashire, and something we’re really proud to be part of.

“As a foodservice business, we understand how important efficient and more sustainable delivery solutions are. Vehicles like this have a real role to play in helping businesses reduce their environmental impact while continuing to deliver a great service to customers,” she added.
