Birchall Foodservice maintains hot streak with another award win

Birchall Foodservice landed a prize at last year's Burnley Business Awards winner

Birchall Foodservice is celebrating further success, after bagging another industry award.

The Lancashire-headquartered wholesaler won the Business of the Year Award at the Burnley Business Awards.

This latest award comes just three months after the company’s success at the Red Rose Business Awards – another Lancashire-focused gala – where it scooped a hat-trick of accolades: Family Business of Year, Employer of the Year, and the Customer Service award.

The Burnley Business Awards judging panel, said: “Birchall now has a state of the art facility on Burnley Bridge Business Park, and showed strong all round performance with year on year growth, clear plans for future growth with innovative new services combined with a strong commitment to its workforce, the local community and reducing its carbon footprint.”

The fifth-generation family business is also the current holder of the Federation of Wholesale Distributors Gold Medal for Wholesale Service to Caterers.

Company MD Justin Birchall, said: “To win the top accolade in our local business awards means a lot to us, and follows an amazing year of awards success.

“None of it would be possible without the hard work and dedication of our wonderful team, many of whom live in Burnley, and we are so proud and grateful of what we have been able to achieve together.”

Birchall Foodservice is an independent, family-owned business with depots in Burnley, Wrexham, Durham, Sheffield and Stoke-on-Trent. It employs 120 people.

The company was established in 1939 and is a founder member of the Country Range Group.
