Johnstone said: “I’m thrilled to step into this new role to grow our Scottish range at Bidfood, supporting local producers and building strong partnerships. I’m excited to help them flourish in Scotland, as well as throughout the rest of the UK, utilising Bidfood’s extensive distribution network.

Jon Mack, business unit director for Bidfood Scotland, added: “This year marks 30 years since we began supporting Scottish producers, starting with just 10 Scottish product lines (SKUs) in 1995 building up to over 500 today. Stephanie’s appointment represents a significant step forward in our ambitions to champion Scottish produce. With her expertise and passion, we’re better equipped to strengthen our support for Scottish product, grow its presence and provide to more customers.”
