Former Nisa managing director Peter Batt has joined Morrisons as operations director for its company owned convenience stores.
In a social media post about Batt’s new role, the supermarket said: “Peter brings over 30 years experience in the food industry, having led at board level and across large-scale retail operations.
“Most recently, he was managing director of Nisa Retail, working in partnership with 4,000 locations, and sat on the boards of the ACS and the Federation of Wholesale Distributors.

“Before that, Peter spent a decade at the Co-op Group as Divisional Managing Director, with accountability for over 1,200 stores. The first 20 years of his career were at Sainsbury’s, where he held senior roles in operations, commercial, and convenience.”
Batt left Nisa, now Co-op Wholesale, at the end of last year after more than two years in the managing director role.
He joins another former Nisa senior member at the supermarket. In May, former Nisa head of retail Victoria Lockie joined Morrisons as its head of wholesale.
