AF Blakemore chief executive Carol Welch has stepped down after nearly four years in the role, Better Wholesaling can reveal.
Welch replaced Jerry Marwood when she took on the role at the Spar wholesaler in 2023, following a six-year stint as Odeon UK managing director.

The firm’s executive chairman Peter Blakemore will work with the executive team leading the business following her departure.
A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that after nearly four years as CEO, Carol Welch will step down from her role on 2 October 2026.
“We thank Carol for her leadership and contribution to the business during a significant period of transformation and wish her every success for the future.”
