Bestway’s Abbey Road depot in Park Royal London has celebrated it’s 30th anniversary with a tremendous anniversary trade day for customers and suppliers.
The site, which also houses the group’s UK head office, was a hub of activity as customers flooded the car park and depot to take advantage of some spectacular anniversary deals. The event was also well supported by grocery, impulse and alcohol suppliers with promotions, giveaways and competitions all adding to the incredible atmosphere.
Younus Sheikh, managing director of Bestway Wholesale commented, “The day was fantastic just not in terms of celebrating the milestone of 30 years trading but also as a spectacle with retailers coming from far and wide. It was like a throwback to the good old days, before delivered wholesale, when all retailers came into depot and trolleys were stacked high and wide.
But the day was just not about Bestway; it was about offering incredible deals and providing a day to remember for all our loyal customers who have supported the depot over the last 30 years. My thanks also have to go to the depot staff who have offered exceptional levels of service to customers which has guaranteed that we secure their custom.”
The Abbey Road depot is a top five performing depot in the total Bestway Batleys estate and the anniversary trade day broke the record for a single days takings in the depot this year with sales exceeding £1.2m on the day.
