Requirements for potential sites were listed as 2,500-to-4,000sq ft, high-footfall locations, dense resident catchments and ground-floor residential.

The first Wing Yip DiDi site opened in Watford at the start of 2026. As well as Wing Yip’s usual product range of Chinese, Japanese and South Korean groceries, snacks and soft drinks, the shop also offers food to go in the form of a self-serve noodle bar, hot drinks and a bakery.
