SWA launches funded digital skills course

The Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) is funding a digital skills training course worth £3,000 for 20 people in the industry, with funding secured from Skills Development Scotland (SDS).

Working alongside Capita Learning, the course will focus on data analysis and presentation as part of the SWA’s ‘Decarbonisation of The Wholesale Industry’ project.

Attendees of the course will gain the ability to analyse their companies data from fleet emissions to route planning and efficiencies.

The course can upskill employees in any area of data analysis, however, in support of SWA’s aim to help the wholesale industry become net zero, the digital skills course will also enable employees to undertake a decarbonisation audit.

The course must be completed by the end of March 2022, with funding currently limited to 20 people. SWA wholesalers and supplier members are eligible to apply, but given the limited spaces on the course, SWA has stated that wholesalers will be prioritised.

Further details, including the eligibility criteria, can be found via the SWA website.
