NBC used its first conference to get across the benefits of the buying group to delegates, explaining that members get access to brands at competitive prices and realistic quantities, while suppliers get access members through one contact point.
Group managing director David Lunt then described how the group operates as a fully integrated business for both members and suppliers. “Through a combination of messaging techniques such as NBC Express, NDN Offers and the NBC Toolkit the group now provides over 7 ½ million message opportunities to over 45,000 outlets every year on behalf of our suppliers brands.”

Commenting upon the first ever NBC Conference, he added: “It was great to get like-minded people together for an event that has been a great success in building strong and productive relationships between our members, suppliers and the NBC Leadership team. The balance between business sessions and social events was appreciated by all of our delegates”
Last year, NBC delivered more than £8m growth year on year, with managing director David Lunt revealing that since the group started it has distributed more than £12m in member terms.
