Harlech Foodservice has been included in the Sunday Times list of the best employers in 2025, with teamwork cited as a key factor to the company’s wider success.
Almost 20% of staff were promoted from within the business last year and benefits include staff discounts and a pension scheme, cycle-to-work, a wellbeing programme and a well-regarded Christmas hamper.

Regional sales controller Dave Roberts said: “Still being a family business is quite key for me. We’re big enough to do a great job but small enough to care, that’s what we are as a business. We’re not too big, so we are still an agile and responsive business that can go out there and give customers what they need.
The foodservice wholesaler also recently launched a price comparison tool which benchmarks Harlech’s 50 best-selling products against the same goods from Booker, with head of purchasing Josie Swift claiming the transparency is disrupting the way the wholesale market works.
