Harlech Foodservice is forecasting record annual sales approaching £1m and announced what will be its largest ever two-day trade fair for next month.

The wholesaler’s Expo 24 will take place at Llandudno’s Venue Cymru on March 6th and 7th where it will unveil its latest Trust Our Prices deals for its customers, with prices pegged from April on over 400 products, according to event organiser and head of purchasing Josie Swift.

She said: “We introduced Trust Our Prices last year, freezing prices on over 300 core products for the three months up to Christmas and New Year and it proved so popular we have done it again for January through March. Now we’re launching our third wave of Trust Our Prices and will be fixing our prices in June and it’s bigger than ever with over 400 products covering frozen, ambient food and non-food products.”

Last year, Harlech announced a £6m expansion project that will see the wholesaler double its warehouse and processing capacity over the next five years, which the company says will double its turnover to £100m and create 150 new jobs.

Managing director David Cattrall explained that Harlech has squeezed as much space as it possibly can out of the existing facilities and expansion will happen over three phases and gain it an extra 80% in processing and storage capacity.
