Cotswold Fayre to open retail space next year

Cotswold Fayre is to become a partner in a new food hall and kitchen near Bath, with construction work already begun on the project.

Once complete, the fine foods will part-own the new purpose-built retail and café space, which is anticipated to open in Spring 2021.

Paul Hargreaves, chief executive at Cotswold Fayre explained that the landowner and Bath District Farmers, had been planning to open a retail and kitchen outlet for some time. “I was delighted when approached to become part of the team to turn the idea into a reality, as it wholeheartedly complements our core business.”

Cotswold Fayre will be trialling new fixtures and displays to reduce plastic packaging and running customer taste test sessions to glean feedback on prospective new product listings.

The managing director for the food hall and kitchen will be business partner Paul Castle, an experienced food retail and food service director. He added: “I am thrilled to see work start on the exciting new venture. We plan to stock plenty of products supplied by local farmers and producers and create in the region of 40 local jobs which is very exciting.”
