Booker's fire

Booker’s Hampshire depot has seen disruption to its deliveries after a nearby Ocado warehouse caught fire.

Located on the Walworth Business Park industrial estate, customers of Booker’s facility were notified via email that the wholesaler would not be delivering on 7 February.

Firefighters were originally called on 5 February before local police conducted an evacuation of the site the next day due to concerns relating to pressurised refrigerants being on the site.

A Booker spokesperson said: “Colleagues were evacuated from our distribution centre on Wednesday in Andover due to a fire at the neighboring Ocado site. The exclusion zone was lifted on Thursday morning. Therefore, we are working hard to limit the impact for our customers and we apologise to them for any inconvenience this may cause.”
