Blakemore Wholesale, a member of Landmark Wholesale, has been awarded a 5-year contract with motorway services provider Roadchef.
The contract, worth circa £12 million per annum, commences in March 2013 and will serve 37 Roadchef sites at 27 motorway service areas across Britain.
Blakemore Wholesale Distribution will provide a range of confectionery, grocery and chilled foods, tobacco and motor oils to forecourt stores and W.H. Smith sites at motorway services.
Blakemore Wholesale’s managing director, Sam Wilcox, said: “We’ve created a bespoke solution for Roadchef, and we’re delighted to be working with them in developing a long-term mutually beneficial partnership.”
The acquisition of the new Roadchef business, worth an estimated £60 million over the course of the five-year contract, is a significant accomplishment for Blakemore Wholesale Distribution and will provide a strong platform from which to expand the company’s national distribution service.
