Tom English appointed commercial director at Turner Price

Tom English is set to take on the role of commercial director at Turner Price in January, with Craig Andrews leaving after 21 years at the Hull-based wholesaler.

Currently the digital & marketing director, English joined the wholesaler in 2014 and was promoted to the Board earlier this year. He will now oversee the commercial activity of the business which will include retaining his current responsibilities, supported by head of buying Gemma Scholes.

Managing director Paul Brittain said: “Craig has been a vital and important part of Turner Price’s success. He has led our buying division, driven our product growth and shaped our commercial strategy. The company has grown significantly in his time on the Board and he more recently has played a key role in our integration into the Caterfood Buying Group.

“To say Craig is a popular person in our business would be an understatement. He has not only earned the utmost respect of his colleagues, but also of suppliers and friends across the wholesale sector. On a personal note, Craig a good friend and has been a great support. I wish him and his family all the best in the future,” he added.

Andrews said: “After 21 fantastic years at Turner Price, I have made the difficult decision to leave the business and take some time away to focus on my family and the next chapter in my life.”
