Coca Cola European Partners (CCEP) sales director for wholesale believes the industry should be very optimistic about the potential in the low-to-no sugar soft drinks category.

Speaking at a product launch in London, Gary Black also explained how CCEP will continue to invest in the frontline in order to support its wholesaler partners in 2019, as well as increasing its digital expertise.

“Hundreds of wholesalers are already on board with our ‘Add-to-Order’ online scheme, with thousands of orders being made each week, which we hope will increase,” he said.

The technology service makes it easier for independent operators to make an order from their chosen wholesaler. This enables CCEP products to be added to their next delivery from their chosen route to market in real time while one of CCEP’s reps is visiting their store, ensuring out-of-stocks or new products are on their way as soon as the order has been confirmed.

A range of new products for 2019 were introduced at an event in Stamford Bridge.

Also announced at the event were the latest additions to CCEP’s range, with Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Raspberry, Diet Coke Twisted Strawberry, Fanta Grape Zero, Capri-Sun Cherry and Monster Energy Ultra Blue set to be released in the coming months. Diet Coke Feisty Cherry will be discontinued.
