Lynas Foodservice has acquired Edinburgh-based foodservice wholesaler JB Foods, as part of a strategy to solidify its position in Scotland with a stronger delivery network and enhanced range of products.
JB Foods, which has been operating as a family-run business for 60 years, will continue to trade under its own name as part of Lynas Foodservice. Its leadership team of managing director Lee Brown and commercial director Charlotte Brown, will remain in place.
Lynas claims to be the largest family-owned foodservice wholesaler for Northern Ireland, Ireland and Scotland and already employs more than 600 staff and supplies more than 5,000 customers.
JB Foods is a family-run wholesale business, with more than 60 years’ experience delivering speciality ingredients, grocery essentials, dairy, frozen and non-food products to restaurants and professional kitchens.
