Online campaign saves London cash and carry

Nour Cash & Carry in South London has been saved from eviction following an online petition to save it, having originally being served with a section 25 notice forcing the business to leave its premises on 22 July.

The two parties have reached an agreement in which the wholesaler will be given new premises of roughly the same size in the same market in Brixton. The business will also only have to move when the new unit is ready and it will cost roughly the same price to run.

The wholesaler offers a diverse range of groceries, with the online campaign quickly gained nearly 5,000 signatories.
